Short version: this site sets no cookies. Here is what it does keep, and why there's no banner.

No cookies
We set none. There is no analytics, no advertising, no social embed and no chat widget, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss.
Three things kept in your browser
The site stores three small values on your own device. They never leave it, they are never sent to us or to anyone else, and none of them identifies you.
- hutt-theme
- Remembers whether you chose day or night view with the sun/moon button in the header, so the
site doesn't flip back on the next page. Written only if you press that button. Kept until you
clear your browser storage.
Local storage · set at your request - hutt-motion
- Remembers whether you paused the animations with the pause button. Written only if you press
it. Without it, the site follows your device's own "reduce motion" setting. Kept until you clear
your browser storage.
Local storage · set at your request - hutt-wx-cache-v4
- Holds the last weather reading for about ten minutes so that moving between pages doesn't
re-fetch it. Deleted automatically when you close the tab.
Session storage · needed to deliver the page you asked for
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, storage that is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, or that simply records a preference you have just expressed, does not require consent. All three fall into that category — which is why there is no pop-up. Worth a second opinion when the notice is reviewed.
Clearing them
Every browser lets you clear site storage — usually under Settings, then Privacy, then something like "Clear browsing data" or "Cookies and site data". Clearing it simply forgets your day/night and motion choices; nothing else changes.
Requests your browser makes elsewhere
Displaying the page means asking one other company for something, which means they see your IP address: Open-Meteo, for the live weather, listed in the privacy notice. The site's typefaces are hosted on our own server, not a third party's. Open-Meteo sets no cookie on this site.
